This traditional farmhouse, situated on a working beef and sheep farm in rural east Dorset, is set close to the borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire and is just one mile from the thriving community of Verwood. The property has been comfortably furnished and well appointed making this Dorset cottage an excellent home from home. With its enclosed lawned garden - set beside the River Crane – three good-sized bedrooms, sitting room and good-sized galley kitchen, the property is a great place for a family or a group of friends. The local area is full of wonderful activities and the amenities of Verwood are within easy walking distance.

Oil central heating. Electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD, Freeview. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed lawned rear garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: The cottage is accessed via an unmade lane - care should be taken. The River Crane runs alongside the fenced garden - young children should be supervised. |

Bridge Farmhouse is an ideal place to stay with children, in a very quiet neighbourhood, with all kinds of things to visit nearby (Stonehenge, beautiful New Forest, Moors Valley). Everything one can possibly need is provided in the house, and the owners are very friendly and helped us around. This was one of our best holidays ever.

Try and make the trip to Brownsea Island, a fabulous nature reserve here. Inland on your holiday in Dorset you can enjoy the rolling hills that are so characteristic of the county and explore what has become known as “Thomas Hardy Country”.
The county town of Dorchester, with its High Street lined with 17th and 18th Century houses, is little changed from Hardy’s day, while the pretty town of Shaftesbury has been used as a location in countless films set in Olde England.
